Image shrinks then becomes normal size due to resolution set incorrectly.

Cause:

The video resolution exceeds the resolution that the display supports.

Solution:

Open the 'Display' icon in 'Control Panel' and select a lower resolution.

CAUTION: It is possible to set the resolution and color palette on non-standard video adapters where it will be difficult, if not impossible, to read what is on the screen or find the mouse. If this happens, boot the system in 'Safe Mode' and restore the previous resolution and color palette settings using the same steps in the procedure below.
NOTE: Experiment with the effects of the resolution changes. Start with the lowest 'Color palette' (16 colors) and 'Desktop size' (640 x 480) selection and continue until the desired effect is reached.
